Yetter joins Hope Health Ellis County team

Hope Health Ellis County recently announced that Craig Stevens Yetter, D.O., has joined its team as a family practice practitioner. The medical facility is a faith-based, not-for-profit, federally qualified patient-centered medical home that serves to provide affordable healthcare to the community.
Yetter has been licensed as a doctor of osteopathic medicine since 1987 by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and obtained his board certification with the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons in June 2025. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1986 from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and completed his internship and residency in family practice at Dallas Family Hospital in 1988. His education also includes a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy in 1973.
His 38-year tenure as a medical professional has included several facilities in the Metroplex. Within Ellis County, he served as an emergency room physician and emergency department medical director at Ennis Regional Medical Center from 2004-2013 for The Schumacher Group. From 2006-2012, he also served as a family practice practitioner at Ennis Family Practice.
From 2013-2019, he served as an emergency room physician, emergency department medical director, and emergency department trauma medical director – level IV at Ennis Regional Medical Center for EmCare. Concurrent service from 2013-2018 saw him in the same roles at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. From 2019-2021, Yetter joined the Concord Medical Group in Lubbock, where he served as an emergency room physician and held privileges at several hospitals, before taking a medical leave from 2021-2023.
Yetter had returned to Ennis in 2023 and was serving as a family practice practitioner at Ennis Family Care before accepting the position with Hope Health.
Hope Health’s services range from adult and pediatric primary health care to women’s health, dental care and restoration, and behavioral health assessment and treatment. Fees are income-based. The center also accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
Hope Health has two locations: 572 Coleman St., Waxahachie, and 805 W. Lampasas St., Ennis.
