Vendor spots available for Ellis County Poultry Trades Day on Saturday, Sept. 6

Ellis County Poultry Trades Day has scheduled its next event for 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Ellis County Expo Center in Waxahachie.

Those interested in being a vendor at the popular event are encouraged to email texhenranch@gmail.com.

“Join us for an exciting opportunity to expand your flock this fall!” the Facebook event page reads. “Our event features a wide selection of poultry breeds, livestock, supplies, crafts, and more from vendors across Texas. With indoor and outdoor shopping, food trucks, and various vendors, it's a one-day event not to be missed!”

The semi-annual, family-friendly event is held rain or shine, with free admission and parking at the expo center. No dogs are allowed due to high flight-reaction animals that will be on site. May’s event drew more than 120 vendors offering chicks, chickens, laying hens, quail, geese, ducks, pigs, goats, and rabbits, as well as plants and artisan crafts. Also on hand were guest speakers, ag-related services, and food trucks.
