TSTC to host Data Center Pathway registration night Dec. 4
RED OAK – Texas State Technical College will host a Data Center Pathway Launch & Registration Night from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at its campus, 119 N. Lowrance Road, Red Oak.
“Experience the future of data center training firsthand,” a spokesman said. “This event will showcase hands-on equipment demonstrations, skills assessments, and an interactive interview practicum with our instructors and industry partners – giving you a real taste of what it’s like to train and work in this fast-growing field.”
TSTC in North Texas has teamed up with Compass Datacenters and other leading industry partners to launch a training program designed to prepare participants for high-demand, good-paying careers in data center maintenance and operations – the Mechanical, Electrical & Information Technology Pathway Program.
Course Highlights
• 12-week, part-time session
• 234 hours of classroom and lab instruction
• Second cohort: Feb. 23-May 18
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6-9 p.m.
• Cost: $4,700 (scholarships available)
• Hands-on experience with real equipment and mentorship from industry experts
• Learn the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, IT and networking, safety, and business communications

Where do I park & check in?
Parking is open, and no guest passes are needed. Attendees can park in the main parking lot. The Admissions & Enrollment team will be waiting to greet attendees at the front desk to complete the check-in process.
What should I wear?
For attendee safety, wear closed-toed shoes and full-length pants. Safety glasses will be provided for each guest, depending on the labs they will be seeing.
Do I need to bring anything?
After visiting the programs, attendees will have an opportunity to fill out a free application and discuss financial aid options. There is no need to bring any special paperwork for the tour. Attendees will be provided an admissions checklist for documents they may need to bring in the future.
Will I have a chance to meet a faculty member on my tour?
TSTC will do its best to coordinate with faculty members so they are available during the tours, but that may not be possible due to class schedules.
