Local farmers markets offering vendor opportunities
The Waxahachie Farmers Market has several special activities planned for Saturday, April 4, including a visit from the Easter Bunny! Market hours are from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., with the market located at 701 Howard Road.
The market is currently wrapping up its winter season, which runs November-April, with January off for building maintenance. Open year-round, the summer season begins the first Saturday in May. Vendor applications are open now through April 15 on the city’s website.

The Howard Road location has about 50 spaces inside, with additional, outside spaces available. There are options for vendors to share a booth and alternate Saturdays, with a once-a-month, pop-up spot also available. Typically, the market is full and has a waiting list for a spot, so those interested are encouraged to apply early.
Over in Ennis, the Bluebonnet Market, which is an outside market located in the 100 block of N. Dallas St., downtown, opens its season Saturday, April 11. The market’s planned April 4 opening was delayed due to the expected inclement weather. Spots are available, with prospective vendors encouraged to check out the information on the city’s economic development website. The Ennis market runs from April through October and is closed over the winter months.
