EPT presents 'Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors' starting Oct. 10

Tickets are on sale now for Ennis Public Theatre’s next production, “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors.”
Directed by EPT’s Markus Baldwin, the play is described as “a comedic twist on the Dracula legend, perfect for Halloween with spooky fun and laughs. In the treacherous mountains of Transylvania, a meek English real estate agent takes a harrowing journey to meet a new and mysterious client, who also just happens to be the most terrifying and ferocious monster the world has ever known: Count Dracula! As famed female vampire hunter Jean Van Helsing and company chase Drac from Transylvania to the British countryside to London and back, their antics are guaranteed to increase your pulse and cause bloodcurdling screams – of laughter.”
The show has adult themes and innuendo and is recommended for ages 16 and older.
“Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” will have 7:30 p.m. screenings Friday-Saturday, Oct. 10-11, and Thursday-Friday, Oct. 16-17. Matinees will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, and Oct. 19. The theater’s usual second Saturday evening performance will instead be a matinee for this production.
The theatre’s red carpet celebration will be held on Friday, Oct. 10.
“Come early, listen to live music with pianist Gary Mingus, and take pictures on the red carpet before the show,” a spokesman said.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, the theatre is offering a “Saturday Night Special” with a choice of discounted or regular pricing on tickets to satisfy any budget.
“Gather your friends and come see live theatre,” a spokesman said.
