Wright obtains CMO designation

Waxahachie City Council member Chris Wright was recognized at the council’s June 12 meeting for attaining his designation as a Certified Municipal Official, which is a voluntary continuing education program of the Texas Municipal League. Recipients must complete 60 continuing education units over a two-year period to attain CMO status. CEUs are earned in five competency areas (ethics, finance, governance, Open Meetings Act, and Public Information Act), and at least 30 of them must be through in-person training. Each CEU reflects one hour of training.
