Wilmer mayor receives Texas Municipal League’s CMO designation
WILMER – Wilmer’s Mayor Sheila Petta recently earned a Certified Municipal Official designation from the Texas Municipal League.
The achievement is the compilation of 72 hours of advanced municipal training in areas such as governance, leadership, finance, and ethics.
The CMO designation recognizes a commitment to continued learning, effective leadership, and excellence in local government.
“I have a strong passion for my city of Wilmer and for public service,” Mayor Petta said. “This accomplishment is a win for the entire city since it strengthens the foundation of good governance for the residents and allows positive continual growth and leadership.”
The Texas Municipal League (TML) is a non-profit organization that serves cities and towns across Texas by providing services, resources, and advocacy.
