Texas starts the new year with 2.9 million business entities

AUSTIN — Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson has announced that Texas begins the year with more than 2.9 million entities actively registered with the agency to conduct business in Texas. As of January 1, 2025, Texas has 2,928,688 registered business entities — 125,329 more than last year.
