Scarborough's 'Last Huzzah' for 2025 is this weekend
Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. (May 19, 2025): It’s the Last Huzzah! The 3-day Memorial Day Weekend, May 24, 25, & 26, 2025 will close out the 44th season of Scarborough Renaissance Festival® (Scarborough Faire®) with a grand celebration of music, merriment, and magic!
The Last Huzzah weekend brings a variety of special events. On Saturday & Sunday, visitors can join in the fun of the Stein Holding Competitions at 4:30 pm each day at the Royal Pavilion for the chance to win their very own Souvenir Stein. On Sunday, it will be Topsy Turvy Day as queens become beggars and villagers become kings. Who will you become?!
Scarborough Renaissance Festival® (Scarborough Faire®) will pay tribute to our servicemen and servicewomen on Memorial Day Monday, May 26 as they invite all current and retired Military Service members to receive a complimentary yellow sash to commemorate their service and march in the Grande Parade. Sashes can be picked up at the Village Armory located in the Crown Meadow area of the Festival until 12:00 noon. A select group of military members will also be carrying a large American Flag along with the flags representing each branch of the U.S. military in the Grande Parade.
Immediately following the Parade there will be a special memorial and tribute ceremony for our fallen servicemen and servicewomen conducted by Captain Richard Arlington “Rick” Briggs, Jr. US Army, Retired. Captain Briggs is a 30-year veteran of the US Army serving in units domestically and across the world including deployments in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his retirement in 2009, Captain Briggs became a Theater Arts educator and continues to actively support education, the arts, and military veterans.
As always, active-duty Military members, Veterans, and up to 4 family members are offered an admission discount of $3 off single day adult admission when they show their military ID at the Festival’s ticket booth.
