Palmer High School partnership to promote student safety

Palmer, TX – The Ellis County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is proud to announce a collaborative initiative with ThinkFast Interactive, Watch UR BAC, and Palmer High School to educate students on critical safety and health topics. This partnership aims to engage students in interactive learning experiences that address issues such as underage drinking, distracted driving, substance misuse, and other topics.

ThinkFast Interactive is an evidence-informed program that utilizes team-based trivia, interactive challenges, and audience response technology to deliver engaging and educational content. The program covers a range of topics, including driver safety, alcohol and drug awareness and other topics. By incorporating popular culture references and interactive elements, ThinkFast Interactive creates a memorable learning experience that resonates with students.

The Watch UR BAC program, in collaboration with the Ellis County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, focuses on promoting passenger safety and responsible decision-making among high school students. Through educational sessions and interactive activities, the program emphasizes the importance of making safe choices, particularly during high-risk times such as prom season.

"We are excited to bring these dynamic programs to students in the county," said Danae Hicks, County Extension Agent for Family and Community Health. "By partnering with ThinkFast Interactive and Watch UR BAC, we aim to provide our students with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions and lead healthy, safe lives."

The collaborative effort reflects Palmer High School's commitment to student well-being and proactive education.
