Opening weekend set the stage at the storied Scarborough Renaissance Festival now underway in Waxahachie. Now, the artisans take the spotlight during the 11th annual Artisan's Showcase featuring 200 handcrafted shoppes, live demonstrations, and memories worth making this Saturday and Sunday.

“Watch skilled hands bring wonders to life before thine very eyes,” a spokesman said.

Explore 200 handcrafted shoppes featuring live demonstrations in glass blowing, lamp work, rope weaving, and wood turning.

Shop with purpose with the festival’s Shop and Win Promotion: Spend $350 with artisans in the Village and receive two complimentary tickets for use anytime during the season. 

New for 2026: Fly casting competition

“Think thou hast the skill of a seasoned angler? Join us for our inaugural Fly Casting Competition and put thy aim to the test,” the spokesman said.

The accuracy competition takes place at 11 a.m. at King Flyrods Booth 127, with the distance competition at noon at the Joust Field. The competition takes place only on Saturday, April 11.

The 2026 Scarborough Renaissance Festival continues weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, and also Monday, Memorial Day, through May 25. Operating hours are from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
