Farmers market vendor: SnapIt Towels
All her life, Rose Wise of Lancaster has helped people find solutions, which include the specially-designed towels she sells at her booth at the Waxahachie Farmers Market.
SnapIt Towels saw its inception when the pandemic struck. Wise was recently retired from a 30-year career as an insurance adjuster when a niece called her, sharing how she needed 75 cloth masks, ASAP.
Wise sprang into action. She bought a $50 sewing machine, found a pattern, and went to work.
The handiwork struck a chord with Wise, who started thinking about what else she could sew. That’s when the idea came to her about doing something with towels that would make her kitchen work easier.

The question to herself was one of “What can I do and put on this towel to make it stay on my arm?” The answer became her patent-pending product. SnapIt Towels was born.
“This is my original; it’s not found in any store,” said Wise, who’s since adapted the design for a neck-worn model that can be used when grilling and tailgating.
“It keeps your hands free,” she said. “If it’s hot, it keeps your neck dry, and, if it’s chilly, it warms you up.”
She also sells a children’s-sized towel for little hands.
“You can pop it on a drawer handle so they’re down low for children to use,” said Wise, who also does custom items for her clientele, including working with personal items they want repurposed. “My towels are something they can keep a long time and use.”
Helping people find a way to make life easier is a trait that was ingrained early on in Wise by her mom, and it’s a philosophy she continues to follow to this day.
Knowing that she’s providing a useful product for people and having the opportunity to engage with people of all walks at the market is something she finds immensely rewarding.

“Just talking to people,” she says of what she enjoys most. “Just knowing that people come by to see me. I cherish the moments.”
And when someone leaves with a smile on their face? “It’s special,” Wise said.
